It was another lazy Saturday afternoon, when we just finished training at the Dojo.
Crazy training, really~ we had to slice the newspaper with a bokken.
Then....Sean - my fellow kouhai asked "So~ is anyone going to Bon Odori tonight to pick up the trash?"
So it was an impromptu thing, really. ._. I was somehow roped into it. We took a Grab there, because it'll save us the hassle of finding a parking spot.
We were actually quite early - kinda before the event even started? But there were already trash on the field. Especially...cigarette butts. So much for greener and healthier Penang. :(
Anyway, they've moved the stage away from the center of the field to a corner. Which, I believe somehow killed the whole thing. We got ourselves some food after finished cleaning up (though there are much more to do) but we'll leave it to the other volunteers from another organization as we had done our part.
We left around 8:00pm-ish by foot...as the place is too jammed up for any vehicle to come in.
