Chapter 1: The Foolish Orphan
It is a bright day merry as anyone would be on a normal day. With a pouch as empty as it can be, no matter how big a pouch it is useless if there is nothing in it. As the young teenager by the name of Spirit Aurum with a name as gold and free as it may sound is broke that he borrows money and free as not returning it. Always in trouble and never with the books, hearing only stories about great knights, magicians and paladins. In a city where the walls were tall enough to keep battalions away and imbued with magic that makes the wall impenetrable from outside and within, the only way out was through portal gate at each side of the city. The portal gate gives a humming noise when approaching them, the main trade is through those portals. Each wall have each own emblem which signify Fire, Water, Earth, and Nature. As they are great Saint Maria's walls are as mysterious as well.
As the young walk down the city centre Spirit stomachs grumbles and the day still as broad as it is the afternoon the young boy not even charming or charismatic approaches the town centre. The town circle peaceful with business everywhere the Spirit spots a mid age women with a pouch as big as it could easily fall off Spirit grin with evil intent to take the pouch. The guards around minding their own business as it is uneventful, Spirit approaches the young lady with a big smile trying to swindle some money out of the not so beautiful lady. He spoke to the lady if she would like to see a magic trick.
"Hello madam, would you be so interested in a small magic trick?" Spirit spoke.
The rude not so beautiful women replied "magic trick I have seen all great mages perform better magic tricks than the one you can provide." She snickers away and the pouch of good money was going with her.
"Wait madam, don't be so much in a rush please give this poor boy a chance to show something worth your while" as Spirit respond in haste.
"Okay, boy show me what you can do and it better be good I do not have all day!" She replied angrily.
At this moment all the guards are pondering about the commotion the two have created. As Spirit tries to do a coin trick by pulling out a nickle from his pouch and realizes he is broke worst than a beggar. The not so beautiful lady became annoyed and shouted to the guards that Spirit was going to molest her. Spirit panic and fled the scene before the guards could put him into the gallows. With his heart beating real fast he got away but finds himself in a better situation to "lend" some money.
